About Me
I’m a writer-slash-nurse. I’m a bookworm; I’m fascinated with photography. I am (on most days) a walking contradiction.
Just like most bloggers, I started writing when I was a kid. I can still remember my first entry in my first diary. I was on 5th grade then and my entry was about Wendy’s Bacon Mushroom Melt. From that first entry, I came to writing about my crushes, homework, and petty problems. Eventually I started writing about friendships, love, books, music and relationships. Today, I still write about these seemingly unimportant subjects but with a different tone. I sometimes comment on political and environmental issues. On days that I don’t have anything to write about, but there’s an urgency to make my fingers move over the keyboard, I talk about people I meet in my life.
I’m bad with prepositions and other grammar rules. I wish I can write better like you do but I don’t. Corrections and critiques are welcome, they help me improve my writing.
This site was born because I wanted a space of my own; I got tired of writing on paper. I don’t intend to impress people with my writing or with the topics I choose to write about. ApplesDaily is my thinking zone, a space where I can dump my thoughts when I need to, in whatever way I want to. No fuss; no spins.
When I think about it, I write because I was born gifted and (maybe) cursed with the need of self-expression. It’s like diarrhea. You can’t keep it in and when it’s so bad, it stinks.
