transfixed in that one moment,

mystified by your nearness.

In the darkness of the room,

I saw your delicate face,

the curving of your body,

felt you breathing beside me.

As the space faded away

I felt your hand touching mine,

Your strong-arm embracing me.

I was ready to be swayed

by this magical feeling;

to enter a dazzling dream.

Just then, an alarm rang off.

just as fast as it started,

I was hauled out of the dream,

yanked out from the enchantment.

Back to the reality

of a place for you and her.

A place where there’s only me.
